Fumage: 

Fumage is a surrealist art technique popularised by Wolfgang Paalen in which impressions are made by the smoke of a candle or kerosene lamp on a piece of paper or canvas.] Paalen´s first fumage work was presented 1936 in the International Surrealist Exhibition in London. In the same year Paalen painted his first oil based on the fumage, "Pays interdit" ("Forbidden Land").

You don’t need fancy paints, brushes and canvases, or a computer, to create works of art. We will leave the discussion as to what constitutes art to another day, in the meantime go gather some leaves and start creating . . .

Scratchboard Art: 

Scratchboard art consists of covering a surface (usually cardboard or some other sort of stiff poster board) with a layer of hard white chalk, sometimes coloured chalk, and then painting over with black ink. A sharp tool such as a knife or stylus is then used to scratch off the black paint and reveal white marks. Some examples . . .

Rock Sculptures: 

Rock was probably the first medium for sculpture. Today rock sculptures can be carved, shaped, stacked and a myriad of other artistic treatmnents.  They can be put together with drilled holes and steel rods, glued or even just balanced. Some of them are quite beautiful . . .
