I said last week that I was abandoning the proposed roll call of quotes of people and events from Billy Joel's We Didn't Start the Fire because the next few - Red China, Johnnie Ray - were too unexciting and difficult. Thomas Loren Friedman (1953 - ) is an American journalist,
author, and three time Pulitzer Prize winner.
Friedman currently writes a weekly column for The New York Times. He has
