Not long ago I posted pics of parodies of Van Gogh’s De Sterrennacht – The Starry Night – one of his most famous works and the subject of a previous Bytes in its own right.
It is not only the palette that is painted blue and grey, there is also ink on skin. How good are some of these tatts of The Starry Night . . .
One question: why are most of the tattooees with Starry Night women?
On another aspect, even if you’re not an afficionado of skin art, think about the difficulty in reproducing a realistic copy of a well known art work on skin, using only a needle and ink.
